As I drove around today noticing the lack of lowered flags I became a little irritated; then stopping at different establishments,responses to my comments concerning 9/11 infuriated me even more!
Answers like: huh, what, oh yeah that!
Idiots!
More Americans died during the attacks of 9/11 than at Pearl Harbor; but who cares...

Take it easy Roberta,most people are so concerned only with their own well-being that the importance of the event escapes them.
And we should not burn books,just as we should not burn the flag, just because it is protected free speech.
Also,Christian symbols and attitudes are desecrated and ridiculed every day, yet our pres can't speak out against THAT.

On Facebook I posted last week a status that said something like:
I will defend to the death your right to burn a Koran, or a flag, or a Bible, or Huckleberry Finn. But just because I support your right to free speech and free expression does NOT mean that I will regard you as anything greater than a wart on the ass of history, or that I won't consider you a freaking idiot, or that I won't be pretty sure your "direct connection to God" has a messed up circuit somewhere. i might even kick your ass, but you can just consider that MY right of free expression.
I echo your thoughts NEVER FORGET and to the tolerant of you reading this,wake up. We may not be at war with Islam,but it sure seems like they are at war with us!
