Snow Way !

Snow removal efforts focus on Downtown Quincy

What makes downtown get more attention than the rest of the city ??? Do they pay more taxes ?

Even though Cape Air has canceled its flights, Quincy Regional Airport remains open.

Open for what? BYO brown bag lunch and free security scans ?

"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"

I call bullshit. Have not got mail for 2 days.

Quincy's weather forecasting service, Murray and Trettel Inc., told city crews that snow was supposed to start falling by 11 a.m.

Quincy still PAYS a weather forecasting service? Can't someone use the internet there?

Anybody know if the couple from Las Vegas has moved to Q-Town?

Life is good.

I thought the same thing about downtown. Many other main routes still have piles of snow blocking lanes but the most urgent task is to clear the downtown? Hmmm, maybe it is because they complain the loudest.

Spring is concerned about whig employees being able to get back to work safely?

UDN

Concerned that they would not be able to write some ass-kissing stories about the city.

Too Funny.

"Safety is No. 1," Central Services Interim Director Jeff Steinkamp said Friday.

Then why did you concentrate on downtown?

It doesn't take an expert to figure out why the downtown needed the attention it got.

Where else in Quincy do so many people work in a concentrated area with little to no private parking?

You idiots will find ANYTHING to bitch about....

And Cape Air isn't the only company using the airport. Titan, Niemann's, private owners, etc...

Anon 10:03 & 04

Blessing Hospital is the citys largest employer. Did they recieve the citys help to dig out? Why not?

and Plus, you had to get TO the airport. Without Cape Air in operation, how many flights went in and out?

As I said before, their parking lots are PRIVATE.

Here is the question again.

Ride Public transportation.

2:22 is right, if parking is the biggest issue for downtown, ride the city bus, take the cab, or even walk, there are so many options available for getting downtown. the only streets I can getting the most attention downtown are Main, 4th, 3rd, and Broadway which the state takes care of, I would liked to have seen more attention to the hospital area and the areas around the nursing homes, and then go from there. but to use "little private parking in downtown" as an excuse is not valid to me.

Maybe they could bulldoze the QHW down and make a parking lot out of that location.

QHW could just move into city hall, it's where they spend all their time anyways...
