Stone Age Wing Ding
Was toying with the idea of entering the Hannibal Wing Ding, but after reading the rules, I have to say WTF?
First of all the rules weren't posted on their web site until about 2 weeks ago. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to let them out.
Second, NO ELECTRIC ? What the Hell is with this? What is this some kind of science experiment? How is someone gonna keep 40 lbs of wings at the required temperature of 165 degrees?
Hoping Rob at the OLCC can scrape up the dirt from the rodeo and come up with some kind of modern version of this. (with electric)

No one's fired up over wings today ........WTF
OLC would be much better as electric will help a lot. But just think how much better it would be than Hannibal's because of the Illinois Smoking Ban. Two weeks of smoke free bars and restaurants and I cannot see going to Hannibal this year for the Wing Ding where the wings tastes like Malboros (sp?).
I love how these anti-smoking crusaders manage to steer EVERY topic back to the smoking ban, yet have no answer as to why they are not in the taverns as they said they would every night.
Health dept rules forbid smoking while cooking on either side of the river.
7:30
I'm for the smoking ban, never said I would be in the cess pool taverns every night. Close those dens of vice up, see if I give a rats ass.
Maybe they were using their smokes to keep the wing warm?
7:15 again
At least there is more than one post to this speak now. :)
True dat true dat ..........
I need a BB gun b/c I need to get some smokes & my DRANK on
Ya hear
7:30, Amen, brother! I bore no frequency of the smokehouses, but I did and do much appreciate being able to go to Sprout's, Tangerine, Kelly's, a gas station, etc. without having to reek of your (the smoker's) inconsiderateness.
PLEASE NOTE: Electricity will not be available this year to keep the wings warm in a roaster.
Bring your own heat.
