Speaking of Wasting Money...


It's time to feed the cash cow.

First Property Tax Installment to the Adams County Collector is due 7/6.

Late payments will delay:

$1.3 Million HVAC work to the Crystal Palace, better known as City Hall.

$10,000 to teach two Officers on how to ride a motorcycle.

Gas for the 12 MPG QPD SUV to cruise the city streets.

New Hi-tech light light bars for the city patrol cars.

QMG appointments for healthy Firemen.



Please. Give till it hurts. Operators are standing by.......

Most of your property taxes go to the school district. Surely you can identify a little waste there?

And the School Board wonders why people don't vote for a referendum. First you must show fiscal restraint and responsibilty and do some cost cutting measures instead of always asking for more. The budget grows every year because propert values rise every year. A bunch of housing is coming out of the enterprise zone next year and that will increase revenues too. But I am sure they have that spent already.

If anyone can get me a list of all the salaries that the school district workers are demanding, I'll post them on a new global complaint web site using their real names as well as mine.

Rumor has it that one of the few big shots gets $300k per year. Not sure if that sounds right. But if it is, how may homes does it take to pay that?

I'd like to see some of that overblown admin salary actually going to the teachers who are doing the actual effing work.

And how many admins do you need? How many principals (Baldwin has like 5!! WTF?!) When I was in high school we had 3000 students, 1 principal, and 1 asst principal who also taught classes. Why the hell do we need so many effing administrators?

Hey tookie, when you do the city payroll check out the utilities dept. 2nd highest paid person, must have some dirt on some City officals. Over the past several years #2 has been allowed to come and go as she pleases, takes time off without using sick or vacation time, and still averages only 18 to 20 hours a week on the job. However, #2 is paid for 40 hours every week. Oh, I forgot to mention that on May 1, when all other City workers received a 3% raise, #2 gladly accepted 7%.
