I heard that job comes with a corporate credit card, can you use it at JOS A BANKS? Just curious, I'm thinking of applying. I am really good at drinking beer too.
Its not a rumor. Its a confirmed fact.
;)
I'm sure he will be "taken care of". Some sort of State job most likely.

Qcy Airport manager is open. JJ's a dem, ain't he?

not likely to happen. That particuliar position will be hired off the street to someone with experience or a degree in airport management. heard the same rumor a couple weeks ago.
;)
I'm sure the brother-in-law will squeeze him in somewhere, just like he did for the son-in-law.
the mayor didn't squeeze his son in law in anywhere. His son in law allready was in that position way before the current mayor.
actually is was there former mayor's brother, spring put in his son-in-law
I wish fire and pundit would put up the family tree again .

no Andrew was a city attorney during the past mayor as well as Chris Scholz, Bruce Alford, and Tony Cameron. All that happened was the legal department was reorganized. By say he was "squeezed in" you are implying that he was not allready a member of the legal staff.
Lets put up the family tree again. I am sure the Dems would enjoy the opporunity to file a freedom of information act in order to get a list of county employee's. The state offices and vets home would be much easier since it would only take a simple phone call to Dan Hynes office to produce such a list of names. As a matter of fact no phone call would have to be made as the Dem chairman allready has this list. maybe i'll have him email me a copy today. could be quite interesting.
By "reorganizing" they were able to squeeze in a doubling of his salary.
From WGEM
In a phone interview Wednesday morning, Jansen told WGEM News he has a "great opportunity" he has been working on for the past 6 to 8 months.
Which public entity will now fund his paycheck?
I heard the state will be funding his new position. I hope they don't give him a corporate credit card.
Fitzgerald would have a heyday in these parts .
"great opportunity" he has been working on for the past 6 to 8 months ???
Now we know why the OLCC has been in the red for the last 6-8 months...
Most people work at their JOBS at work...
My favorite JJ quote (under oath):
"I just stopped in for a beer after getting gas"
Gas station had been closed for 45 minutes. He might have had a stool with his name on it.
I kinda like "never put a pencil to it"
My favorite has to be that when he left the bar he forgot to leave the beer behind. It must have been a confusing night for him. He forgot to get gas, forgot that you aren't supposed to drink while your driving, and it is probably not a good idea to do all this while in a city vehicle. Did anyone check the civic center credit card for that time frame, if he actually did get gas, surely he did not pay for it himself. Why should he pay for the gas to drive around drunk?

Wouldn't that be just like C. David di when he was drawing a check from the city for being mayor but spent all day working at the now defunct Quincy Peoples???
Or is that the same statement Carl made when he gave his family the municipal loan and went to work for them after both the bank and mayor gig dried up on him?
Glad they took seed money and MADE a viable business with it . Hell , at least they didn't keep charging the city . They took a LOAN , and paid it off .
"I think a lot of jaws dropped," Jansen said.
Yes, the people left will now have to WORK for a change.
Sell your stock in the Harrison Pub ! Beer sales are forcasted to be way down in 2007.
I hear it was resign or get the axe.
In exchange for the resignation, we will say kind things about you.
"He's a go-getter"?
Yes a GO GET LEO H another Brew dawg
"They took a LOAN , and paid it off ."
with the freakin interest rate they got on that loan they could have went down to any local bank and opened a basic saving account and made money and paid it off. This is no freakin feat.
How come no one else recieved thsi same loan??
No comment on the Quincy Peoples statement?? How come?
No response because everyone is still laughing at your grammar, spelling and lack of proof reading and wondering if you are a product of the Quincy Public Schools.
The revolving loan fund was set up to spur economic development .
So there for QMF is a stunning example of why we have that loan. The Holi-Dome is an example of why we need to watch that said loan.
When did this become a trash site for Quincy Public Schools?
F- that, many brilliant minds have been molded in that system over the years.
What is Quincy Peoples??
Sorry for my ignorance, maybe my QPS education Is substandard.
The board at the OLCC is just as much to blame for allowing this guy to operate the way he has for so many years.
Bring in new blood all around.
What about Quincy Peoples?
It rumored that C. David donated his mayoral salary to charity every year he worked at Quincy Peoples? Do you have information that contradicts this?
Are you going to blame him for being responsible for what was a national banking collapse?
Would you prefer he and his family build a business that employs many Quincy residents in some other town that would give him the same favorable loan rates?
1254
that shut her up
SO what is Jansen's new job?
Illinois Vets Home?
I didn't know he was a veteran.
12:54
still no proof of those donations, sounds good to say though!
If C. David had won his guys would KNOW how to run excel and MS Word .
if is a big word.if his aunt had balls she would have been his uncle
What about David Nuessen???? I heard he is back from Disneyland and seems to be all refreshed from the mayor's race and is looking for something to do.
What do you say Spring? Wait your not related are you?
