ReplyDeleteA"hit"? You guys are so funny. No, not a hit. Not a dem, not on the council, not on the city payroll. Just have known Mr. McQueen longer. Here's another view of his crusade. McQueen is a government employee, on the federal payroll, or as you guys would say "a teatsucker", complaining about the raises of other government employees. He received a 3.9% military raise in 2009. Did he turn it down? Did he give it back? Did he tell the feds to freeze his pay? Hell, no. The hypocrisy of his "outrage" is just too much. McQueen took his raise, but doesn't think that anybody else deserves one. He always thought a lot of himself, but he's all puffed up with self-importance now. Everybody in town was talking about Bud Niekamp, and Bud was all over the news. So now McQueen is going back to the City Council to stir the pot some more, and get some of that limelight away from Bud. I don't share McQueen's outrage about the budget. Here's what makes me mad: that the taxpayers of Quincy have to pay the mayor and aldermen to sit and listen to this hypocrite get up and "talk about anything". What a complete tool.

Oh, drats. Foiled again! That darn Bud. He's stealing the limelight again from Steve "I'm A Veteran - Now Thank Me" McQueen. Now Tea Party McQueen is really gonna have to ramp it up a notch at the Council meeting, to get on the ten o'clock news!

ReplyDeleteOkay, its over. Nothing happened. I'm sure that disappoints Mr. McQueen. Through all of McQueen's rhetoric about how he feels violated, I really didn't get the point of his speech. Just lots of grade school finger pointing. Why was it Lepper that opened up the floor for him? Why not his own aldermen? The address McQueen gave is in the 4th Ward. Does McQueen own this residence? Farha & Sassen do not appear to be on the McQueen train of self-promotion. Hope its because they can see the hypocrisy.
