Do we really need new guns, the only thing they ever shoot are dogs during drug busts.
Thank Spring for not being able to keep Ccopley in check with spending money. But then again, what would one expect from a tax and spend (in this case, ticket and spend) democrat.
"Do we really need new guns, the only thing they ever shoot are dogs during drug busts"
Exactly. How do they wear out? Practice? Dropping them on the floor when being cleaned? Misuse? Falling out of the holster when making school speed zone traffic stops or fishing on North 5th?
The Vindicator takes full credit for 1:55p.m., I've had cops tell me after doing drug raids, and I'll quote: "We had to cap a couple of the guys(drug dealer) dogs that came after us, he was pretty made about that"
I wrote the 1:55 comment and I am not "The Vindicator". I simply read the local newspaper and pick my jaw up off the table after reading some about of the actions and statements of our government officials reported there.
Vindicator wrote the 9:58 first portion of the post, you'll have to excuse him, he was upset that the Card's stranded so many runners and lost to the Cubs. Carols Lee coming to the Cardinals in a trade is sure to set the Vindicator right, though.
And the Kid can put away the Tequila too!!!! When he played for the Gems, Spring Street had to reorder based on how many times they won that week! Hint -- It was a lot with a 40-9 record that year!
;)
p.s. What a nice kid too! Glad to see him doing so well!
Explain to me what authority you think Mayor Spring has over the Police Chief. The Fire and Police Commission evaluates the Police Chief and the City Council Approves the Budget.
If you're gonna blast a guy, have some faint idea what the hell you're talking about!
As someone who works for Chief Copley, you are way off on your comments. He's the best Chief we've had for ages. How many of you work all day, then at night, and then even while on vacation. Not many! In addition, he is very wise with the $ the police dept spends. If you were held hostage by someone (which is possible here, too), wouldn't you want someone who has a gun that functions correctly to protect you? He's no rookie, he does a great job and that's why you are protected by good officers and people who do traffic enforcement to ensure your and you family are safe. If we don't pull over speeders and everyone else, the fatality rate would probably be much higher. Appreciate him and everyone else who works at qpd. They are here to serve the citizens of quincy and do a heck of a job.
The mayor ain't on the city council? Oh, that's right, he just runs it.
Can he at least can Copely & move to Iowa? LOL Which car dealer runs the police comm now? LOL
ABC, I understand, you're in bed with these clowns, but a lotta good people are pissed in this town about exactly what Fire is talkin about. Are we not supposed to be? Big 172 ain't gettin nuff of our money, gotta nail people for driving a walking speed thru a school zone.
Maybe one day we'll be the weanies you want us to be, pretty much are now, anyway, fines got paid, didn't they! Don't see too much excitement at city council meetings, no mobs, uproar, we'll be the good little boys and girls the nuns taught us to be, won't we ABC! LOL
That's all very cutesy and "inside baseball" but it really was a simple question. What authority do you think a Quincy Mayor, any Mayor, has over the Police Chief, any Police Chief?
Very Strange you have such strong opinions about a process you obviously don't understand.
Whenever you're done running laps, take a shot at answering it. Hint: it has nothing to do with D-172.
As the Chris Rock ringtone says....aw, never mind, you know what it says.
Don't you remember the commercials with the Springer and Scholz walking hand in hand amongst slow motion emergency vehicles as the narrator spoke of how they were responsible for lowering crime like 300%. Remember?

Fire Copely from the job, bring the drunk back.

No Lootie the 1:55 comment was not from me but whoever wrote it should be commended for nailing it. All I can say is WOW!

Anyone know of any other uses of QPD's guns?

ReplyDeleteThank you for providing a venue for me to vent.
Please move "some" in the first paragraph of the prior comment from after reading and put it after about. Sorry I don't proofread well.

ReplyDeleteGuess that ain't gonna happen. We Card's fan will settle for Soriano or Abbreu, I guess.
On second thought, we'll take whatever we can get!
Having the highest arrest rate in the state of Illinois....PRICELESS!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Quincy. Keep up the good work of arresting anyone and everyone!!!

ReplyDeleteIt is all about the revenue......
ReplyDeleteImagine how excited the Chief is as school time is approaching...
Yippee, and the school board digs it too....

ReplyDeleteRemember this when you try to give Scholz any credit for anything the police did during his administration, even paying for his new cars.

ReplyDeleteYou obviously have never met the man.
What's there to toot about?
ReplyDeleteLootie: You smokin' crack on-line ?
ReplyDeleteWe have the mall , a MAYBE Ethanol plant, and now a HUGE shot at HYDRO Electric !
Freaking mall was here LONG before Spring.
Corn plant ain't going no where as long as city officials sit on the fence and show no support.
...and the freaking Hydro plant is going to be $90 mill of city taxpayers money spend that MIGHT work ????
QPD is more interested in playing traffic cop than drug busters.
Have some better examples PLEASE.
