thats how stupid yopu all are, hey butt fucks the teams parents pay taxes for the school the same as the parents with kids who are dorks, dweebs, nerds , dickheads and so on.. the field willpay for itself, ie maint, personell, watering, etc all cost , do the math the field will last for years, the field as is needs tons of work, and with the football team finally winning it will get repaired and you all are paying for it, you dipshits... in one way or another.... just because your kid is a dungeon master and looks at his sister in the shower.. dont be hating on the kids who play sports, although you wish your kid would... sorry it will get done , one way or another, i betting on school funds someway will pay for it , if not all.... later drama parents
I'm all for new turf, but not blue. I hate wacthing Boise State games cause of that turf. Piss on "Blue Rage" beside, QHS played a pussy schedule. Big 6 is a soccer-sissy conferance. QND had all the power points. Like QHS would ever go to Helias and win.
fred, if you cant figure it out, then you are truly a fucking moron- a new field is needed , thats it and it will get done , and the taxpayers will pay for it, one way or another
Anyway, what is refreshing about the proposal to raise funds for Flinn is the fact that it has the backing of ALL the groups that use the field: football, soccer, bands, Relay for Life, you name it they are behind it.
Nice to see the community can come together (for the most part) when usually those groups have a certain amount of animosity.
My prediction: 2/3rds of the turf upgrade will be paid for by contributions, the rest by the district.
So what, if QPS funds are used? If private donations make up 60-75% of the cost,it is a win-win situation. My opinion is Lovelace would like to see his kid play on it, and give him a jump start at a college / pro career. But as I said, private donations mean less tax money, why complain?
I'm simply a supporter and an alumnus of QPS. I will identify myself to Moore and Prost later. I intend to pledge $1000 to the project but only if there is NO corporate advertising or naming of the field on the rug.
I am tired of seeing logos everywhere when certain Quincy businesses make donations. If they can't make an unrestricted donation for the same reason individuals do (because they believe in the cause or need), and only donate to see their name held in glory, then count me out. I am not donating to assist them in their public relations efforts.
Bernie Willer was a very gracious man and most generous to QND. But he never sought perpetual publicity for his generosity. Others should follow suit.
I encourage other individuals, families, clubs and organizations to step up and do the same.
By the way, I believe the project will make it using taxpayer dollars.
"Hey Anonymous at 08:23:00 PM on 10-27" R U really that stupid.... Guess U / R, being a product of QPS U likely don't have 2 cents to spare much less a grand to throw away
of all the money that the qps school board has thrown away in the last 10 years, you could have built a new stadium. the fiasco with the anderson buyout, years of misappropriated funds and the debacle of DICKerson vs niekamp, what is the cost of that alone. how many officials do we need to run the schools and the pay they make it unbelievable. you think the city of quincy has nepotism, look at the qps roster. for the money they make , you would think they would do a better job, have a little pride. they cant even enforce the dress codes, i've never seen so many girls dress like sluts in my life, and these were girls at qhs , the qps board is a laughing stock, every year lemon gets a new senior class to ogle over and try to date. remember school board this is not your money, although you sure dont care and it shows thru past actions. the field is needed, take it out of the officials pockets, they'll steal it back later. vote these turds out
Hey, if it's paid for by private donations,I'm all for it.

I see this as just another scam on the taxpayers; 800 thousand to install plastic carpet.
ReplyDeleteIf they really "wanna fix something" how about directing their resources into teaching the kids and shove the sports crap.
Duh, I played football for the Devils, will you give me a handout...
